Shut Up And Kiss Me…

Sometimes, when you're lucky, you get two characters who create fireworks between the pages of their story. Tate Maddox and Summer Sheldon are two characters who do just that in my latest release, Operation Summer Storm. If  you love a hefty dose of sexual tension as well as danger, both emotional and physical—then this is the book for you!
The old saying that opposites attract –definitely applies here.

Summer Sheldon, likes things safe and predicable, she didn't consider herself at a disadvantage to stay within her comfort zone at all. Tate Maddox on the other hand, lived a life of danger and uncertainty. He had the skills she needed to rescue her sister, and she held the evidence to clear his name of a crime he didn't commit.

How do you prefer attraction in a book? Fast and to the point? Or a slow burn that builds up through out the story?

His breath almost caught in his throat. Her eyes were deep pools of ocean blue. He knew he was
staring at her, but he couldn’t seem to pull his gaze away. Maybe this was some kind of post-traumatic stress. It happened quite a lot out in the field, but somehow he didn’t think what he was feeling came under that banner.
Slowly he leant toward her. Her eyes were tinged with uncertain surprise, but she didn’t look away. The first initial tingle as her lips shyly brushed against his sent a flutter through his stomach, then a full bolt of electricity as she leant in closer and demanded more.
His head spun and his senses reeled as Summer matched him kiss for kiss. Slowly he lowered her back onto the soft, warm sand, growling his approval as Summer started spreading his open shirt apart and pushing it over his shoulders. Then as he leant over her, taking his weight on his bad side, a jolt of pain shot up through his arm.
“Damn it,” he swore as he sat back and held his injured shoulder, fighting back waves of frustrated desire. “Damn it to hell,” he added under his breath for good measure.
Summer froze, then scrambled into a sitting position and put a gentle hand on his good shoulder.
“Are you all right?”
Tate chuckled painfully.
Summer bit her lip. “I’m sorry.”
Tate pushed away his frustration long enough to looked at her with a slight frown. “What for?”
“For shooting you, of course,” she spluttered. “Don’t you realise how horrible that makes me feel?”
Tate couldn’t help it. He started to laugh.
“What are you laughing at? I could have killed you!”
He sobered, taking both of her tiny hands in his larger one. “But you didn’t. Don’t worry, I’ll get over this,” he said, nodding down at his shoulder. Although this undetonated erection could potentially
be fatal, he added silently.
She didn’t look overly convinced, but at least she stopped worrying her bottom lip, making him wish
he was the one worrying it, and doing a lot more besides.

OMG, she SHOT him?!? I'm definitely reading that book! And for attraction, I love the slow burn, especially if they start out enraged with each other.

I like both jumping in and the slow burn. It just depends on my mood and the kind of couple and the story's time period that I'm presented with. As long as the couple finally gets together then I'm happy.

I like the slow burn attraction, that building up that goes through the story. Then when they finally get together, its like wow, finally they get it.

I love reading a variety and too love to read that variety in how the attraction comes to the h/h. I read a variety of sensualities and lengths and some are fast and intense and others are built as the story and characters grow. I really love reading those both! I love a great tension either way!

I so enjoyed reading Tate and his reaction to Summer! That was great!
