G'day!
What girl wouldn't be swept away when a tall, handsome, and did I mention rich, stranger comes into her life?....Rilee Henderson, that's who! In my novel The Cattleman's Runaway Bride, Rilee doesn't have time for men—no matter how good looking they may be. She's on track to achieving her dream and she didn't get this far by allowing distractions to alter her course…but then she hadn't counted on meeting Trey Delaware…
In the dim light she could make out his rough, chiselled features
and her heart picked up its tempo.
“Don’t go yet Rilee, come inside with me,” he coaxed gently.
She saw him lean towards her, smelt the heat and spice of his
skin as he hovered a mere breath away from her lips. The soft
touch of his lips sent a loud humming, like a tuning fork,
through her body.
She opened her mouth say no, but found instead that she
really wanted to stay.
Why not? A sudden rebellious voice came from within. Uni
was almost over, it was definitely her last B & S, so why not end
it on a high?
As though in a trance, she followed him into his room. They
didn’t bother with the lights. The moment the door closed, he
stepped close and cradled her face in his hands, kissing her with
such tenderness that all thoughts of protest instantly melted
away, along with their clothing.
Standing in the centre of the room, with the soft glow of
moonlight falling across them, Rilee was mesmerised by the
sheer beauty of the man before her. Having slid his shirt from
his shoulders, she stared at his wide shoulders a moment before
reaching out to place her palms against his chest.
Beneath her hand, she felt the rhythmic thump of his heart
and, raising her head to meet his gaze, she skimmed her fingers
down over the smooth skin of his torso as though filing each
muscle, each dip and bulge, to memory.
When her fingers reached his waste, they curled around the
belt in his pants and tugged at it with a frustrated growl.
His deep chuckle made her quiver once more and he pressed
gentle kisses along her throat as he leaned forward to help.
“You know city-boy, you look good in Armani…but you look
even better out of it.”
Australia has a long and proud rural heritage. Life on the land makes up a large proportion of our way of life for many people.
I've always loved country stories, sexy cowboys, denim and leather, but as great as these stories are, they are nothing like the Australian country way of life. Finding a rural romance that features Australia has actually proved rather difficult and that was the inspiration behind The Cattleman's Runaway Bride. If you love Cowboys—then why not try a cowboy—Aussie style!
Thanks to the wonderful Goddess Fish Party for hosting me today and good luck to everyone with the fantastic prizes up for grabs!

I'll have to get this one! Love cowboy books!
What a great locale to set a story in. Australia is very rugged and adds to the drama of the story and to what the characters go through.
