Amon From Destiny Redeemed

Gabrielle asked me to stop in and talk a little about who I am.  It seems like an odd request, but since I owe her so much, how could I refuse?  My name is Amon Kalins and I'm an Aeveren tempuster.  That's me on the cover over there.  Beside me is Thea, the beautiful woman I've been blessed to have as my destined one.

As a tempuster, I can travel through time to any period I've lived in.  I was born in my first lifetime in 63 B.C. in Greece, but I've lived in many places and times.  I was a farmer in third century Rome, a viking marauder in the 900s, a Turkish trader in the Ottoman Empire, one of the ruling families of the Aztecs when the Spanish conquistadors overran our land, a member of the landed gentry in late 1700s England, and the list goes on and on as I've lived forty-seven lifetimes.

I was born with my powers, so I'm rare even among Aeveren. Most Aeveren are given one power after their twentieth lifetime, but I was born with the power to travel through time and teleport within the time I'm in.  I'd be lying if I said I haven't used those powers to my own benefit, almost exclusively, for most of my existence.  Truthfully, I've been a bad man for many of my lifetimes.  I don't ask forgiveness, though.  I am what I am.

I've also been blessed with other powers that came after my first lifetime.  I can see into people's minds and implant ideas.  My mental powers are a bit weaker than my other abilities, however, so I can never be as sure of them as my tempuster powers.

It's fair to say life has been interesting.  I've been the villain and the hero, and a little of both still exist in me, as they do in all men.  I'm more good than bad these days, but if the moment calls for it, who knows?

Amon sounds like such an interesting character. As tempuster I can just imagine the stories he can tell. I'm especially interested in what it was like as a viking marauder.

I would love to read about the different lifetimes especially during the Aztec era.

There truly is something awesome about a character interview. I love getting to know them a bit more ;)
