Happy Halloween! What's your favorite Halloween Creature?

Greetings friends and Happy Halloween! I’m Elyzabeth M. VaLey, erotic romance author and I’m thrilled to be celebrating the spookiest time of year in this Haunting Halloween Blog Fest. I’m also at the WC blog, so if you want to talk crazy Halloween erotica then visit me there.

I’ve had two releases during this month of October, one of them historic romance “A Decade of Longing” less than a week ago, but today I’m going to tell you about my paranormal short “Dreams of Fate”.

There are more to dreams than meets the eye...

When Alisha, Queen of the elves, meets Lord Tarmo in the dead of the night, she recognizes him as the man who has plagued her dreams. Soon, she discovers that he too has been dreaming with her. The problem is that Tarmo is a vampire.

Afraid of the power Tarmo holds over her body, Alisha does not want to believe that their dreams are visions of destiny. But once they touch, neither can deny the passion that binds them for all time...

Let me show you a little about what you’ll find in this story…

He was upon her before she could react. His cold lips met hers, and she shivered at the contact. She did not step back or think of fighting him. Instead, when he nibbled on her lower lip and coaxed her mouth to open for him, she complied. A moan crept into her throat as his tongue reached inside and entwined with hers. He delicately passed a finger across the curve of her neck, forcing a shiver to run down her spine. He cupped her chin and looked into her eyes before slowly brushing his lips against her throat. His tongue darted out, barely licking her but making her breath hitch nonetheless.

“Do you remember this, my sweet queen?” he asked as he tenderly kissed her neck.

“Aye,” she whispered. She felt the point of his teeth graze her neck and fear flooded through her. She tried to push him away, but he would not budge. He bit into her neck, softly at first, then harder. She kicked at him, and he moved back, amusement drawn in his handsome features.

“How dare you!”

“Are you frightened or excited, my lady?” He grinned, and Alisha blanched as she saw the sharp canines.

“What are you? Why have you come?”

Scared? What’s your favorite Halloween creature?

Personally, I’m in love with vampires. There is just something about them…Their existence defies logic.

Throughout the centuries they’ve been portrayed in several forms…as ugly monsters or as alluring beauties…but whatever the legend around them, they are death incarnate, blood feeding creatures that roam through earth endlessly. They should repulse us, after all, they’re dead…but the mysticism about them and they’re existence is more than appealing; it’s addictive. Just imagine, those sharp white fangs piercing through the beating vein in your neck and drawing out the blood that keeps you alive. You hold on to the creature’s shoulder helpless to stand on your two feet as he feeds on your blood and makes your body burn with an indescribable feeling of fear and desire…*shudder*
