Celebrate Spooky Paranormal Release Dark Before Dawn With 99 Cent Sale & Prizes

I'm delighted to be participating in today's launch party. I'll be giving away two e-book copies of my mystery/romantic suspense novel Sink or Swim to a commenter, details at the end of this post.

The books I'm launching are my novels, Dark Before Dawn and Face-Off. Both are available for Kindle, Nook and Smashwords right now, with paperback versions on the way later this fall.

Dark Before Dawn is aimed at teens, and at adults who enjoy paranormal thrillers such as the Twilight, House of Night, and The Vampire Diaries series. I loved writing this book as it deals with all sorts of fun topics, such as psychic abilities, telepathy, mind control, and crystals. (If you were ever picked last in gym class, you'll love this book! Let's just say I released some pent-up resentment about gym teachers who let their students choose teams rather than dividing the teams up themselves.) The book is on sale for 99 cents for the Halloween season.

Dawn Christian has been psychic since she was seven years old and has always considered herself an outcast. Even her own mother discourages her talent, so Dawn has kept her abilities quiet and feared a lifetime of loneliness. When she gets involved with a fortuneteller and two teenage girls who share her mysterious perception, Dawn finally belongs to a group.

As her intuition strengthens, so does Dawn’s self esteem. However, when she learns her new friends may be tied to two bizarre murders, she has an important choice to make – continue developing the talent that makes her special, or challenge the only people who have ever accepted her. You can find the 99 cent promotion on:

Amazon Kindle

B&N Nook

Smashwords

I'm also releasing a new version of my backlist title Face-Off, about twin brothers fighting it out on the same high school hockey team. This is a fun book for adult hockey fans, or for kids 9-16. If you're considering it for a child, Booklist called it a great novel for either proficient or reluctant readers. This is a special book to me as I wrote it when I was 16 years old in high school study halls and it was originally published when I was 18.

It is available for $2.99 on Kindle, Nook, and Smashwords, with the paperback coming out later this fall. You can read an excerpt, reviews, and fan letters from kids here.

Don't have an e-reader or do you know kids who would like a paper copy? If you'd like to join my mailing list and find out when the print versions of Face-Off and Dark Before Dawn are available, please visit the contact page of my web site.

I'll be posting an excerpt of Dark before Dawn later today. Everyone who comments on one of my posts here today will be entered into the drawing for one of two Smashwords downloads of my adult mystery novel Sink or Swim. If you'd like to be entered, please leave a comment with your email address. Good luck in the $10 Amazon or Barnes & Noble gift card contest that Goddess Fish is generously sponsoring.

If you know anyone who might be interested in hearing about Dark Before Dawn or Face-Off, any help getting the word out would be much appreciated! Stop by www.stacyjuba.com for more on my adult mystery/romantic suspense novels.

Congratulations on your releases. I have always enjoyed paranormals and it began with YA books (not sure they were even termed that then). Everything from Fear Street and The Vampire Diaries. "Dark Before Dawn" sounds intriguing and brings into play a lot of cool powers.

Thanks so much for coming by everyone! Fear Street, boy does that bring back memories. I must have read that whole series in high school.

Sharing the books on Facebook and Twitter would be terrific, Desi - thanks so much.

Book shopping every Friday sounds like fun, Christine!

I'll post the winner sometime tomorrow. Thanks for visiting!
