Let me introduce myself- Melissa Keir

Good Morning,
I'm sending this good morning from my home in Michigan.  We are looking at some record breaking temperatures today which may lead to some rain that we desperately need.  I'm laying in bed with my dogs because of course on the last week of school, I get sick.  I'm an elementary teacher who has taught for almost twenty years and every grade level from preschool to sixth grade. I love teaching children about reading and writing and seeing their faces light up when they speak about a book or story. That look on their face is the same one you see on my face when I write a book!

I currently have three books in my growing list of accomplishments.  The fourth book comes out tomorrow with Rebel Ink and I couldn't be prouder. I write contemporary romances with characters that could be your neighbor or best friend.  My characters love with a passion and remember their own heartbreaks as well.  But they never give up on love.

Protecting His Wolfe is the story of Betsie Wolfe and Jonah Pigg.  It isn't a traditional fairy tale retelling.  Jonah and his two brothers own the Pigg Detective Agency.  Jonah is also a police detective because someone has to be the "responsbile" one in the family (according to him). Betsie is a small town minister's daughter who left her town for the big city and never thought she'd find drugs and murder.  When Jonah's and Betsie's worlds collide they find that their similarities might be more than their differences.

I will share more of their story with you throughout the day.  And if anyone has any sinus cold cures, be sure to share those with me as well!  I still have some more days with my students and want to be at my very best!

This sounds like a fun read! I'll be adding it to my wish list :) Plus my son's name is Jonah so I'm partial to books with character names that are Jonah (or Jakob as that's my other son's name!) .

Thanks for being on Goddess Fish's party today!

Thanks Molly. Jonah is a wonderful character. I wanted the perfect name for him and think this one fits. He is a strong man who would do anything for his family.

That sounds like my Jonah now. He's only 8 but has been through so much already (he's had quite a stressing life already!) and is tenderhearted and protective!

I'm adding this on to my WL!

Thanks Ellie, I never get tired of being called Teach! Honestly, I wouldn't trade one minute of time with those children. They are what makes the days the best.

The cover is amazing. I gave Carl Franklin the cover artist guru the ideas but he always finds something that goes above and beyond. Did you look at the cover and see the bullet holes? I couldn't believe the final when I saw it. Now I'm working on writing the second Pigg story.

I would love to hear what you all think of this Jonah.
