Starting With Naughty

It may be 7:40PM in Hawaii, but it's 12:40AM on the East Coast, thus it is Thursday. It's time to get this party started.

Welcome all and thanks for coming out the Changeling Press White Hot Christmas Release Party. I am Zenobia Renquist, one of the contributing authors to this very naughty list of Christmas-themed titles. I hope you look forward to the posts and excerpts we Changeling authors have planned for you today.

But first... It's time for something naughty.

Recipe: Bacon-Wrapped Lil Smokies
(courtesy of AllRecipes.com)

Prep Time: 45 Min
Cook Time: 45 Min
Ready In: 1 Hr 30 Min
Servings: 16

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sliced bacon, cut into thirds
  • 1 (14 ounce) package beef cocktail wieners
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, or to taste
  • Toothpicks

Directions

- Refrigerate 2/3 of the bacon until needed. It is easier to wrap the wieners with cold bacon.

- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

- Wrap each cocktail wiener with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

- Place on a large baking sheet.

- Sprinkle brown sugar generously over all.

- Bake for 40 minutes in the preheated oven, until the sugar is bubbly.

- To serve, place the wieners in a slow cooker and keep on the low setting.

If that recipe isn't naughty, I don't know what is.

ENJOY!

We make these for New Years Eve appetizers, they certainly are naughty! Plump little weiners that just burst in your mouth! Addicting! How come it's always the yummy things, that are so bad?!?

Debby - It is AMAZING. You have to try it.

MNJ - They are totally addicting. Only the time it takes to make them has kept me from actually eating an entire package. :P
