Thanks so much to everyone for hanging out with me tonight. I'll be contacting all my winners tomorrow to give out my prizes. Until then, I thought I would leave you with one last excerpt.
A few loose, blonde curls escaped from her updo and fell gently against the nape of her neck. He longed to reach out and touch a piece, but he knew that even a touch as innocent as that would spark a fire within him that he wasn’t sure he’d be able to control. He’d have to wait until they made it to the room to act on the thoughts that filled his head.
When his bride—the word still sent a shiver through him—was situated, he entered and pressed the button for the sixth floor. As he slid his fingers between hers, sparks seemed to shoot straight from her hands to his groin. Damn. Still minutes away from privacy and he was already semi-hard. As the doors closed, he breathed a sigh of relief. Only a few more minutes and then she’d be his. She wasn’t his property, far from it. He loved her stubbornness and the way she insisted on carrying her own shopping bags, even when they were heavy, but tonight he wanted to stake his claim to her body, exploring every inch until he knew her better than he knew himself. All day, he’d dreamed of taking her upstairs and slaving over her until he was sure she was fully satisfied.
A loud bang sent him jumping and snatching his hand back. Looking up, he watched as a hand pulled the doors apart.
Seriously?
“Almost didn’t make it.” He heard the deep voice before the stocky, dark-haired man appeared in the space between the doors. The man leaned against the door, holding it open until a redhead in a cocktail dress appeared behind him. Both got into the elevator and he pressed the button for the seventh floor.
Matt felt the color rise in his cheek. It was a good thing they couldn’t read his mind. The dirty things he’d been considering would have been enough to send them running. If only he’d booked a room on the second floor so they could have taken the stairs. Right now, they’d be slipping the Do Not Disturb sign onto the door before shutting out the world. Just the two of them wrapped in each other’s arms, kissing, teasing, tasting and touching until they couldn’t wait another minute. Hell, he could barely contain himself now and all they’d done in the last few minutes was hold hands.
