Hi all! Here's the first excerpt from my new release, Honeymoon Suite. If you missed it, I posted the blurb here. I'll give be giving away a winter survival kit to one commenter on this post (includes hot chocolate, tea, candles, and more). Please leave me an email address so I can find you if you win.
Matt pressed the call button for the elevator. They waited silently, the space between them filled with the phrases she knew neither of them could say. As long and exhausting as the day had been, they weren’t tired. If anything, she felt more exhilarated now than she’d felt all day. Words weren’t enough anymore, at least for her. They’d talked until they were both blue in the face. She needed action; she needed her body to say the things she couldn’t vocalize.
When was the elevator going to get there? It felt like it was taking forever. The hotel was only ten stories high—how far away could the car be? She wanted to be alone with Matt, to have the chance to actually do all things she’d read about. All day, the slightest touch from him had brought alive sensations she’d previously tried to ignore, knowing she wouldn’t act on them. Now that she’d allowed herself to tune in, she could barely restrain herself.
For one brief moment between photo sessions, she and Matt had managed to slip away into a back room at the church. It was only a minute, but it’d been perfect. He’d pressed her up against the wall, the wood cold on her nearly naked back. Before she could say anything, his mouth had covered hers, demanding a response. She’d been quick, too, parting her lips enough that his tongue could find its way into her mouth. More forceful than usual, Matt cupped her cheeks in his hands and pulled her close to him.
She’d lost herself in his kiss, her mind racing with erotic thoughts of what she planned to do to him once they retreated to the secrecy of their hotel suite. Her pussy tingled and she tried desperately to get closer to him, hoping to quell some of the desire pulsing through her body. The skirt of her dress was too big and made up of too many layers of tulle for her to be able to feel whether the moment aroused him as much as it did her. She’d wanted to reach a hand down, find out for herself, but she’d been too shy. Now she kicked herself for hesitating. It’d been the one minute they’d been alone together the entire day. She needed to know he was as nervous and excited about tonight as she was, but her inability to act left her with a million questions waiting to be answered.
As quickly as the whole interaction had begun, it came to a stop. He’d pulled away and led her back out into the sanctuary to finish posing for photos. The whole time, she kept pressing her fingers to her lips, afraid their session left her lipstick smudged or smeared, a dead giveaway to anyone who glanced her way. Even now, she could feel him on her lips, a promise of things to come.
Where the hell is that elevator?
