Last year I happened to catch the movie 'City of Angels' on television. Even though it was released years ago, I had never seen it. It was one of those movies that I just never got around to watching. As I watched romance blossom between the angel (Nicholas Cage) and a human woman (Meg Ryan), I was struck with inspiration. What would it be like, I wondered, to literally be separated by two different worlds? I was also incredibly inspired by the song 'Iris' by the Goo Goo Dolls, which is one of the songs from the movie's soundtrack. The lyrics move me in a powerful way every time I hear them. I especially love the line 'I'd give up forever to touch you...' *sigh* Terribly romantic stuff. And don't worry, my book is only inspired by the movie! The world of angels, demons, love, heaven, and hell written in these books are is entirely my creation!
And so, a series of books was born, the second of which was released March 15th! For my first party post I'd like to introduce you to the 'Angels Among Us' series, and the two books that make it up so far. In

Book 2: Tempted
In a world full of the sick and dying, the hurting and

focused, dedicated to the cause of heaven in the war against hell. For
centuries she has watched other angels succumb to temptation and break the
rules governing relationships between angels and humans. Sarah has vowed to
never become one of the ‘Fallen’ angels, now demons cursed to wander the depths
of hell for eternity. She knows that she is stronger than the others, incapable
of emotional attachment and the feelings of love and desire that can be so
dangerous to her kind.
Jackson Bennett is alone in the world, and he prefers it
that way. The former Army sergeant has seen more death than any human ought to
experience in one lifetime. Even his dreams are haunted by the faces of those who
have lost their lives because of him. He feels lost, purposeless, until an
encounter with an angel reveals the secret purpose that he was made for. Born

Well, that does it for my first post of the day! I'm so excited about the release of book 2 'Tempted'. Fallen was originally supposed to be a stand-alone book, but the world I'd opened in my mind sucked me in and the characters there begged me to tell their stories!
