Techno Crazed by Sarah Mäkelä

Hey everyone! I hope you're having a fantastic Monday.

It's kind of funny when things don't work out quite as you planned. That happened with me while working on Techno Crazed. I started it initially because of a call for submissions on a cyberpunk anthology I'd seen.

I wrote the book, which was an amazing experience. This is the first cyberpunk story I've written.  So I got it in on time, but things didn't work out, then I submitted to Changeling Press without knowing I'd entered their Shamrock Challenge Contest. Several weeks later, I tied for first place and won a contract for Techno Crazed, and I received another contract for a paranormal romance.

Wow, things really have a way of working out! *smiles*

If you're interesting in the chance to win a copy of Techno Crazed, make sure to sign up for my newsletter at my website, which will be sent out on 6/24.

Techno Crazed
Coming June 17, 2011 from Changeling Press
Genre: Cyberpunk Romance

Blurb: Private Investigator Hannah Franklin’s life is turned upside down after being contacted by a former employee of MAX Home Security, the leader in security. But they’re not just protecting people anymore. In fact, Hannah’s informant has proof that they’ve killed politicians who stood against the corporation. Before he can hand over the evidence, he’s killed, and an attempt is made on her life, leaving her to contact a freelance hacker who turns out to be the one person she never expected to hear from again.

Ian Bradley has been through a lot. Losing his girlfriend and his job, as well as acquiring a very annoying gnome. When he discovers that his ex-girlfriend, Hannah, is in danger, he immediately sets out to help. When he discovers that his corrupt former employer is the one trying to kill her, protectiveness fires up to defend Hannah using every resource available to him, which is almost endless as a technomage in a high-tech world.
