2012...What a Year!

Can you believe December is here?  Where has the year gone, and how can it possibly be almost over?  In 2012, we watched as the royal family celebrated the Diamond Jubilee to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's reign.  It was a Leap Year. We all enjoyed watching the Summer Olympics, hosted by London this time, and Ryan Lochte and Gabby Douglas became household names.  Superstorm Sandy cut a path of destruction in late October, thereby earning it the ominous nickname "Frankenstorm".  And President Obama was reelected. Oh yeah, and the world was introduced to 50 Shades of Grey. What a year, right?

For me personally, it has also been an amazing year.  I finally got my first publishing contract in January, and have followed up that first book with two others.  I still feel like someone needs to pinch me.

Perfectly Imperfect, an erotic contemporary, came out in January.  It tells the story of Ali Baker and Daniel Wells, who should be the perfect couple.  But Ali grew up always feeling like the "fat friend", and despite her new svelte figure, she has a hard time accepting that this gorgeous, wealthy Brit could actually love her unconditionally.  But he is more than up for the challenge to become the one addiction she is powerless to resist!

No Regrets is set predominantly in Germany, where Maggie Blake takes a short assignment for a shipping magnate.  What she didn't count on, however, was falling for his handsome son who serves as Corporate Counsel.  It becomes anything but business as usual as the two plunge into a torrid affair, despite the fact that the clock is ticking toward the day Maggie has to leave Robert behind to return to her job in the States.  Can they possibly say goodbye and have no regrets?

I have a holiday romance coming out December 19th, just in time for Christmas, but really, does romance ever go out of season? I think not! So whether you check out my book in a couple of weeks,
or if you don't get around to it till Spring, I hope you'll enjoy The Christmas Dare. See below for a short blurb.

**************************************************************

Gia Dixon’s a self-professed Christmas addict and dreamer.
Ethan Castle’s a practical person who does things by the book.
Despite their different dispositions, they’ve been best friends
all their lives. They’ve grown up together, shared secrets, and
been each other’s sounding board for their respective relationships
with other people. When tragedy strikes Ethan’s family, Gia is
the rock he depends on to pull him through those darkest days. He
also leans on her to help shoulder the responsibility of raising
his younger brother. It’s a favor Gia is happy to grant, as she
loves the little boy too.

As Ethan and Gia reminisce about old times shared together, they
exchange an unexpectedly tender kiss. That one kiss unleashes
feelings they’ve never felt before, although neither of them is
prepared to admit it yet.
As the Christmas season approaches, Gia’s tendency to go overboard
leads to a lot of good-natured sparring between her and Ethan. She
does everything over the top. She starts shopping right after
Halloween. She decorates her house and yard with festive ornaments
and multiple Christmas trees. And every present she wraps becomes
a work of art. Ethan is drawn in, too, because petite Gia needs his
muscle power for heavy lifting and his height for hard-to-reach
places. But spending so much time together forces them to confront
their newfound feelings. After finally admitting their mutual
attraction, they decide to take their relationship to the next level.
But they agree to move slowly, knowing they won’t survive if it fails
and destroys their friendship in the process.

Then Ethan challenges Gia with a simple Christmas dare in an
attempt to get her to reign in her holiday enthusiasm. Can it
possibly lead them to discover that true love has been right
in front of them all along?
