Top Secret: Choose a Pen Name or not?

by Tanya Hanson

Okay doke. I can barely contain my joy. Just this last Friday, I sold a young adult paranormal book on the Salem Witch Trials! (More on that some other time. It’s still kinda top secret.) Since I’ve worn a Stetson ever since my first book years ago and think I’ve developed a Western brand, I gotta decide: do I stick with this ole’ moniker or pick something diff for this new venture? (There’s talk it could be a series.)

What do you think?

While you’re thinking on it, I’ll mention Redeeming Daisy, Book Two in my Hearts Crossing Ranch series at Pelican Book Group. This story has its roots in the loss of our own precious black Lab...

Veterinarian rancher Pike Martin has no choice but to advise putting down Daisy Denmore’s fatally ill dog, but she swears it's revenge for her mistreatment of Pike's brother years ago. Although stung by her insult at his professionalism, Pike finds himself drawn to the troubled woman who flounders in faith and aches for love and acceptance.

Costly mistakes have sent Daisy down an unrighteous path. Abandoned by her ex-husband, humiliated and broke, she has no choice but to return to her parents’ home in Mountain Cove, Colorado. As soon as she saves enough money, though, she'll be gone. Until Pike Martin's soft voice, caring manner, and downright empathy for her wounds tempt her to stay.

With God on his side, can Pike help Daisy along the path to forgiveness, trust, and whole-hearted love?

Before I sign off, I’ve got to ask the bigger question--wait for it. Then leave a comment and your e-mail addy...I’ll be picking one commenter from all my posts today to receive The Full Set of my Hearts Crossing Ranch series!

Here goes: If you could rename yourself, what name would YOU choose?

Hugs,
~Tanya Hanson

Hi Tanya, Are you keeping your name or going for a new one?

I've always known if I were to come up with a pseudonym it would be Gina Rose. I know it sounds like a stripper but it was my mom's name. And no, she wasn't a stripper!LOL She was a registered nurse.

Congrats on the new adventure!

Sounds like a touching story. ORten bitterness and hurt can come out as anger.
