10 Random Facts About Author Jennifer Tressen


Jennifer Tressen, author of Sleeping in the Morgue, wanted to share some random facts about herself for fun...here you go!
1. My husband and I met and dated in high school while both serving on the board of directors for the American Cancer Society.

2. I love eating eggs but am extremely picky about how they are cooked. Very few people cook them the way I like which is why I almost always make them myself.

3. I spent almost ten years acting in television commercials, shows, print ads and doing voice-over work.

4. My favorite colors are fuchsia and orange.

5. I studied dance for over 14 years of my life as well as taught. Ballet will always be my favorite.

6. When I was a teenager I once told my manager I was going to be a media mogul. I had BIG dreams. Sometimes life changes…

7. I hate running, however I just did a mud run and now am contemplating training for a Tough Mudder. If don’t know what that is Google it.

8. I plan on writing in other genres under an alias.

9. Mexican food is my ultimate weakness. A bean and cheese burrito from Miguels is a sure way to make me smile. I consider eating a hobby, one I practice far too frequently.

10. I sometimes work as a literary editor for an Oscar winning screenwriter.

10 Fun Facts About Author Barbara Oliverio


1. I was never a cheerleader, but I was a cheerleader coach when I was a high school teacher.

2. I refuse to eat anything that is made or garnished with cilantro.

3. I have an irrational fear of volcanoes even though I grew up in a state with no volcanoes.

4. I'm oddly addicted to any pageant on TV -- including dog shows.

5. My favorite TV shows are Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, and Dancing with the Stars.

6. I know more about football than many men I know. (P.S. Go Steelers!)

7. I have never been able to master the hula hoop.

8. I'm killer at trivia. I once won a trivia contest about Canada -- while competing against Canadians.

9. My favorite book from childhood was Heidi -- and I still love to read it  today.

10. My parents were both Italian immigrants and I learned to speak Italian before English. The last common English word I learned was colander (scolapasta in Italian), which I still occasionally say in Italian to this day.

I like dipping potato chips in chocolate.
I signed up for this intensive workout program just so I could look at the really hot trainer who runs it. The muscle spasms, leg cramps and screams of agony every time I lift my arms are so worth it.
I wear flannel Pjs in 90 degree weather and complain about how hot I am.
I’ve cooked my way through The Art of French Cooking twice.
I have a 102 pairs of high heels.
