So the day is winding to a close. I'd like to thank everyone for joining me today at the Goddess Fish pavilion.
Before I go, I'd just like to mention something. I may not have mentioned it, but I'm quite a geek, at heart. I love science. If you also love science, please join me at lbelow.blogspot.com this month for fantastic scientific articles on things like Ion Propulsion, Science Organizations in the Nineteenth Century, Time Travel, and Human Energy Fields. If that doesn't peak your interests, how about prizes? I've got weekly prizes running for this August Science Fest as well as a fantastic grand prize. What is that prize? Well you'll have to stop over to the blog to see ;)
Have a great night everyone, and I hope to see you again soon!

My Inspiration: Never a Princess, Always a Frog
Never a Princess, Always a Frog started, as most things do, with an idea. I wanted to write a fun contemporary romance, one in which the heroine attends a Halloween party dressed only in green paint. And to match, of course, the hero had to be dressed as a prince... er, princess.
The elements of "The Princess and the Frog" might be flipped around, but I'm ecstatic with the result. Colleen's conservative attitude mirrors my own in many ways. Yet despite her bookish nature, she still gets the guy. That's the dream, isn't it?
But from the moment I set out to write this book, I knew that it would be the first in a series. Not only because Colleen's best friend Hannah monopolized my attention and demanded her own book, but also because I love fairy tales. Fairy tales taking place in real life? Now that's something I can get on board with! And this book is only the beginning.
The second book, featuring Colleen's plus-sized cousin Amy, has been recently accepted with Lyrical Press for release in July of next year. Watch for Beauty in His Bed. Can you guess which fairy tale is featured in Amy's tale?

I'm a Cover Addict... Are you?
So I'm a bit of a cover addict. I'll admit it. I love to gaze at the works of art created by the cover artists in a company and the cover plays no small part in whether or not I decide to buy a book. Which is why I'm overjoyed to have been gifted with the best cover artists in the industry. Take a look at these beauties:
Never a Princess, Always a Frog. Cover artist: Valerie Tibbs
Stone Cold Kiss. Cover artist: Renee Rocco
Winter Worship. Cover artist: Justyn Perry
Cinnamon and Spice. Cover artist: Dara England
Unveiling His Princess. Cover artist: Lyn Taylor
Lurkers. Cover artist: Delilah Stephans
Stalking Shade (forthcoming, October 3rd). Cover artist: Renee Rocco
Are you like me? Does the cover of a book have an impact on whether or not you buy it?

Never a Princess, Always a Frog by L.K. Below
Hello again, everyone! I hope you're all having a fun time at the party. As promised, I'm now going to share a bit about Never a Princess, Always a Frog.
Blurb:
Has this frog finally found her prince?
From the moment Colleen confesses her deepest desire — to experience the same passion she’s read about in books — she is swept away on the most daring escapade she’s ever experienced. Dressed in nothing but green paint, she attends a Halloween party searching for the man of her dreams. She finds him, but then fears she won’t be able to give him up.
Since the death of his wife five years ago, Dan’s life has been on auto-pilot. But from the moment he meets Colleen, he starts to feel alive again. And he knows he can’t let this would-be princess stride out of his life…

Excerpt:
Her tongue darted out over her lower lip, teasing him. To distract himself from the way she was able to tighten his body with only a coy look, he took a swig of his beer. It didn’t help. He needed to have her–soon.
Leaning in, he started to lay his groundwork. “Maybe I can help to make this the perfect night,” he said huskily.
“H-how?”
At the waver in her voice and the hitch of her breath, he grinned to himself. Shifting even closer so her breasts brushed his shirt with each of her gasps, he said, “With a kiss, of course.”
With that, he swooped in to capture her lips.
Considering her state of undress, he hoped she didn’t mind him being so forward. After all, the tongue-tangling lip-lock he held her in now was far from sweet or romantic. But the feel of her mouth against his, opening in surrender, drowned out all other thoughts in his head. The two of them could have been standing in front of an erupting volcano and he couldn’t have stopped. Tightening his hand around the nape of her neck, he drew her closer, savoring the feel of her hands splayed across his chest.
When he lifted his head, her lips were swollen from his kiss. They parted, begging for more, but he held himself in check. If he kissed her again, he wouldn’t be able to control himself. Already he was hard as a rock from the feel of her stiff nipples scraping against his chest through his shirt. Moving his lips to her ear, he murmured, “So am I your prince, now?”

New Release Party
Welcome to the party!
Hello everyone, and let me do a short introduction. I'll be back and forth today for our lovely release party today at the Goddess Fish pavilion. I hope you're all having a great summer. I hope everyone's staying cool!
Me? I'm currently typing to you from Iqaluit, Canada. For those who don't know where that is, think Greenland, and then travel west to the small island beside it, known as Baffin Island. I don't have to worry about staying cool, that's for sure. Which at this time of year, might be something to be envied, but trust me, after the brutal winter I just endured, I deserve it. It was still snowing in June.
For those who don't know me, I'm L.K. Below. I write erotic romance and, as of this October, urban fantasy. Under my full name, Lindsay Below, I just released my very first young adult novel, Lurkers in print and ebook.
But I'm not here to talk about Lurkers. Today I'm wearing my L.K. Below hat and talking about my newest romantic release, Never a Princess, Always a Frog. I'll tell you more about that a bit later, but now let me suffice it to say that this book is a hot, contemporary retelling of "The Princess and the Frog."
For now, let's sit back and relax. How is everyone this fine Sunday? Tell me a bit about yourselves -- where do you hail from?

Calen (BK 1 My Soul To Keep Trilogy) by Rie McGaha
Blurb:
When Calen MacLeod begins having dreams of an ethereal beauty who beckons to him, he passes it off as just having an itch he hasn't scratched in a long time. But when he leaves on a journey to find her, following the directions she's given him in his dreams, he begins to doubt his sanity. And when he finds himself high in the Mackinaw Mountains in a secret fortress with unicorns and a pink and white castle, surrounded by women, each one more beautiful than the next, it's a fantasy no man would want to wake up from. But Arianna is the only woman for Calen.
Calen by Rie McGaha - EXCERPT
"Da, we've returned with news you aren't going to like," Caleb called out.
William stood and turned to the trio. He raised his brows as he looked them over. "So who's this then?" He nodded toward the boy in Calen's arms.
"That's what you're not going to like, Da. We need to get the babe here to Margaret for care, and then we can tell you the tale."
William pulled the rope, and a loud bell rang out. A moment later, Margaret came in from the kitchen, wiping her hands on a cloth.
"What is it you're wanting? I've bread to finish kneading if you want it for supper," she said, looking at William.
He sighed. The woman had no respect, but without her he'd have never been able to raise his sons after their mother died.
Margaret turned toward Calen and Caleb and opened her arms to them. She walked over and wrapped all of them in a hug.
"My boys are home." She put a hand on each of their faces and patted their cheeks, and nodded toward the boy. "And what have we here?"
Taking the child from Calen, she hugged him to her breast, then looked at the two grown men with questions in her eyes, but they shook their heads.
"Later," Calen said.
Margaret nodded. "Aren't you a sweet one?" She cooed to the little boy. He nuzzled closer to her, and she hugged him tightly.
"How old are you now? Can you show me?" He held up four fingers. "Oh, well aren't you a big boy then. Can you tell me your name?"
"Arion," he said barely above a whisper.
"Arion," Margaret repeated loudly and then headed back toward the
kitchen door.
The three men watched until the pair disappeared.
"He wouldn't even look at us," Caleb said with a shake of his head.
William grinned. "Like all of us, I s'pose he knows Margaret will get what
she wants, so it's just as well to give it to her and get it over with."
