Saving Grace - Hot Down Under Aussie Erotic Collection

by Beverley Oakley

I'm very proud to call myself a Hot Down Under author, one of the 14 Aussie erotic Authors published by Pan Macmillan Momentum. Saving Grace, written under my Beverley Oakley name, was released on Amazon several days ago.

Here's a little of the history. Last year a group of us planned to self publish an anthology, however Momentum liked our stories so much they published them in lots of four and five in November, December and January. You can read more on my blog about the stories,( between 6K and 10K), by authors including Lexxie Couper, G E Gilchrist, Rhian Cahill and Tracey O'Hara. They've been well received and I've been delighted by my reviews for Saving Grace which is an erotic romance about a Victorian prostitute whose next client is  the man she believes betrayed her.

In fact, I've been delighted by most of what's happened to me in my writing career just lately. Just before Christmas I won Choc-Lit's 'Search for an Australian Star' competition with a Regency Historical Intrigue under my Beverley Eikli name. The Reluctant Bride will be published in September 2013 with two further releases 6 months apart.

Here's a little about Saving Grace.

London, 1878
Reclining on the red plush sofa, Grace sipped the sickly sweet orgeat Madame Chambon insisted her girls drink and tried not to think about the night ahead. The others were gathered in companionable groups on the fashionable Egyptian sofas, their heavy scent perfuming the air.

As usual, no one gravitated towards her, though of course later, when their clients came calling, that would no longer be the case. Grace would have pre- ferred the company of a like-minded female rather than the alternative.

An expectant hush fell as the heavy draped and tasselled curtain was drawn aside and Madame Chambon arranged herself theatrically in the opening, ready to address her petites choux.

“Ravissement!” she complimented them in thickly accented English, clap- ping her hands. Grace suspected the elegantly ravaged Madame came from Lambeth rather than the Left Bank. Not that it mattered. No one in this business was who they said they were.

Least of all, Grace.

The girls, awed and anxious, straightened their rich, colourful gowns nervously. Despite her appearance of bonhomie Madame Chambon could turn on a coin. And it was she who ensured the girls did not return to where most of them had been plucked from—the gutter.

“A great opportunity awaits one of you tomorrow,” she addressed them, “for I have just been honoured by the visit of a woman of great discernment ...”

A couple of the girls tittered. “A woman?”

They closed their mouths at Madame Chambon’s beady stare, attending as she went on, “Who has requested I supply her with one of my loveliest ...”

She drew out the pause as several of the brothel’s most popular young ladies preened.
“... most hard-hearted girls.”

All heads turned towards Grace. She blinked. Is that how they regarded her? Hard-hearted?
She simply had nothing left to offer anyone once she’d earned enough to pay her keep and just survive.

Madame Chambon levelled her expectant look upon Grace, whose mouth dropped open in protest. “A woman? But—”

“The woman wants to give her son a present to remember for his twenty-first birthday. She is obviously a very fond mother—” Madame Chambon allowed herself to share the girls’ amusement, adding, “with very good sense in choos- ing our select establishment to provide him with the very best initiation—” Her smile grew cloying as she continued to look at Grace—“without fear of him being lured into a transfer of affections amidst all the other ... ahem ... transfers that take place.” Though she made a gesture with her hands to indicate the transfer of money, the girls tittered at the double entendre.

The redhead closest to Grace dug her friend in the ribs. “Grace doesn’t have
a heart to lose.” Her whisper resonated.

Nor did Grace have the heart to participate in the banter that followed. So what if she’d been selected? It was just another job and a good thing
she need not worry about eliciting the emotions of a twenty-one-year-old virgin. Pleasing, also, was the knowledge that it would inevitably be over in less than five minutes.

A Dead Giveaway

A Dead Giveaway

Would you crawl into the Bed of the Dead? Like vampires? As a long-time fan of vampires, and vampire fiction, I have a history of collecting related anthologies and what-not. Not all vamps come in pretty, nice packages.

Some are dark … or don’t necessarily know their own strength. In Bed of the Dead, Chloe goes looking for a late-night party and ends up with way more than she bargained for!

Enjoy this dark erotic treat. It’s a short story – about 10 pages, but jam-packed with paranormal fun.

What type of vampires do you like? In celebration of the release and Hot Ink Press’ grand opening, I’m giving away this trendy pocket mirror that says I Love Vampires (U.S. only), or a copy of one of my books from my backlist (international).

Please leave a comment and a valid email address. Contest winner will be pulled on Monday, Aug. 6.

Bed of the Dead

When Chloe places an Online ad for some kinky sex, she doesn’t expect to hook up with a vampire coven. But sleeping in the bed of the dead isn’t all she expected. Instead of a cold lay, she craves some warm flesh. Fortunately, gorgeous surfer-boy Seth is more than willing to share his humanity.

Available via Amazon for .99 cents!

Good Morning from Dawn Montgomery

Good morning!

I'm up here in Alaska, and it's freeeezing this morning! Brrrr. The coffee's brewing, everything is still and silent, and I'm enjoying a few moments of peace before I have to wake the household.

What is your favorite time of day?

Mine happens to be mornings like this. I look out across the neighborhood and admire the shimmering top layer of snow. It looks like glitter.

No sun until around 10am, yet I can see clearer now than you can imagine. The snow reflects the light of the moon. The northern lights sometimes slide overhead, greens, yellows, reds. Moments like this make me believe in magic, in the strength of the heart, and anything is possible. And just like that *snap* a story idea is born.

Today you'll be given tons of tidbits, hot and delicious excerpts and all kinds of fun from the Changeling Press authors.

With Changeling Press's amazing contest, you could win free ebooks for a year! Plus many other prizes. How do you do it? Every purchase of a White Hot Christmas story enters you in the contest! These short and sexy tales promise to deliver enough heat to melt ice...and I think we have some of THAT in our books as well. ;)

Did you ever wonder if Santa and Mrs. Clause had a family? I happened upon one of their nephews in my travels. Luke Klaus (fans self. YUM). Seems he's got a little problem in Destiny, Texas...a lady by the name of Noella Davis. This sexy little beauty has lost the Christmas spirit, and it's up to Luke to bring it back...by any means necessary. Oh. And he can't use magic...because he was...well...naughty. :D And don't we loooove naughty?

Luke Klaus has a problem. Christmas will be canceled if he can't get Destiny, Texas, back on the Holiday Cheer Map. A Christmas wish is all that stands between him and a perfect record. His target is packed with killer curves and a heart of gold that's been broken one too many times. Lucky for Luke, mixing a little business with pleasure might be just what the holiday doctor ordered.

Noella Davis is tired. Too many years as Destiny's cheer coordinator has left her drained and disillusioned. Is it a coincidence that brings her face-to-face with her old crush, or does the man in black leather have his own agenda? Either way, she'll have her cake and eat it too even if she has to tie him to the bed. Maybe her Christmas wishes will come true...

This really is a case for The Other Klaus.

The Final Word: WARNING: NAUGHTY CONTENT

I have really enjoyed being with all of you today.  It's such a wonderful opportunity for a new writer like me to be able to connect with lots of people.  I like to surround myself with friends and since becoming a published author, I have been the recipient of so much support and kindness.  It makes me proud of the career path I've chosen and keeps me going even when I feel like a bumbling idiot.  I hope you've enjoyed reading my posts today as much as I've enjoyed writing them.  And I do hope that you'll consider hopping over to my personal blog, "The Southern Belle from Hell", from time to time so that we can keep in touch.  I can also be found on Facebook under Alexandra Christian and Lexxx Christian, The Southern Belle from Hell.

And as a reward for being so patient with me today, another excerpt from "Masquerade!"

Instantly his lips kissed lightly across her collarbone, lingering in the tiny cup formed at its center. Ever so softly he traveled down her front weaving a maze of burning kisses, then nudging the loose fabric encasing her breasts aside to kiss around the swells of each breast. Her nipples were so sensitive that the smooth silk scraped against them like fine grained sandpaper. It was almost painful until he freed them with a gentle tug then captured one of the swollen buds between his lips. She moaned with the delicious agony as he suckled at first one and then the other, tugging the prickled flesh against his teeth.

"Wait…" she panted. "There are so many people…"

"Look around, love," he murmured.

She opened her eyes and blinked, trying to clear them. In the dim firelight of the room, she could see that what she had thought were merely masked dancers taking their revelry was really a seething crowd caught up in a dance of sexual decadence. Their bodies were so contorted around one another, that in some cases Blythe couldn’t tell where one person ended and the other began. Some were couples, others threesomes and still more were simply being passed from one group to another. Hands and mouths caressed bare flesh, their moans simply fading into the dark symphony. He smiled wickedly, watching her eyes glaze over with a lustful gleam.

"There is no shame in taking pleasure. Why hide it?" His hand slid along her thigh where he still held her against him. The train of the gown was slit nearly to her waist, making it easy for him to gain access to her most hidden places. "They are beautiful, are they not?"

"Yes," she sighed, feeling his fingertips, so cool against her hot skin, creeping farther back until they reached the edge of her sex. She gasped but didn’t recoil. "So beautiful."

"Doesn’t it arouse you to think that some of them are watching you now," he purred against her ear just as he slid the tip of a finger between the outer lips of her sex. "Each of them getting more turned on as they watch your body tense and hear your desperate whines."

The sinuous digits delved deeper, collecting the slippery drops of fluid that clung to the tiny petals. He slid the pads of his fingertips around the opening of her sex, massaging gently until she was arching against him involuntarily. With an evil chuckle he pulled away, leaving her empty, her sex clutching for something to grasp hold of.

****************************

Alright, my lovelies.  It's been a pleasure.  I hope to see you over at my blog soon where you'll be leaving comments about how you bought "Masquerade" on 12/17 and have now Been Belled!

What Happens When A Delivery Goes Wrong by Lucy Felthouse (PG Excerpt)

Here's an excerpt from my recently released BDSM short story from Ravenous Romance, Naughty Delivery:

Sonia moved restlessly through the house; cleaning. She hated housework at the best of times, but when she was on tenterhooks like this, the dust certainly didn’t have much to fear.

She was saved from her half-hearted duster-flicking by a knock at the door. Abandoning the cloth with undisguised glee, Sonia rushed to the front door. Unlocking it, she greeted the delivery guy with a maniacal grin. Barely noticing his wary expression, Sonia signed his hand-held machine and closed the door behind him, clutching the box with delight.

Sonia rushed out to the garden.

“Ben! Ben, it’s here!”

Ben looked up from where he’d been weeding the garden, a smile spreading across his face. Sonia’s excitement was catching. Plus, he was just as interested in the contents of the package as she was.

Standing, he followed his girlfriend as she scampered back into the house, retrieved a pair of scissors from the kitchen drawer and made her way upstairs. Ben paused to wash his dirt-encrusted hands in the kitchen before following Sonia to the bedroom.

Upstairs, she was sitting cross-legged on their bed, scissors at the ready. Ben tucked his lanky frame into a mirror image of Sonia’s position, and nodded.

“Go on then,” he said, “open it.” She didn’t need prompting twice. Slicing away at the tape sealing the box, Sonia was careful not to damage the contents. When it was done, she put the scissors down and waggled her eyebrows and fingers theatrically before folding back the flaps of the box.

Sinking her fingers into the polystyrene packing chips, Sonia resisted the childish temptation to scoop some up and throw them around. She’d only have to tidy them up, and she thought that time would be much better spent enjoying the contents of the parcel.

It was the first time they’d ordered sex toys from the Internet. Actually, it was the first time they’d purchased any sex toys, full stop. Ben and Sonia had always been happy with their sex life, but after reading one too many articles about how much fun vibrators and things were, they’d decided to find out what all the fuss was about.

They’d giggled like naughty schoolchildren as they scoured their website of choice, browsing through all the naughty things available for sale. After gawping wide-eyed and open-mouthed at several scary-looking implements definitely not designed for beginners, they’d navigated back to the more vanilla couples’ toys.

Following some umm-ing and ahh-ing, they made their choices, placed the order and waited. However, things weren’t quite the same after they’d clicked that ‘Confirm Purchase’ button. In the days that followed, their normal routine was punctuated with spontaneous sex. It usually followed a conversation about the various things they’d seen on the website, not to mention the items that were winging their way through the postal system, en route to their house.

Or so they thought.

Sonia and Ben have decided to bring some more spice into their bedroom by ordering some sex toys off the Internet. The anticipation of their new gadgets’ arrival ramps up their passion tenfold, and by the time their naughty delivery turns up the couple are at fever pitch! But a mix-up with the package leaves Sonia and Ben with some toys they didn’t expect. Reluctant to let it spoil their sexy fun, the pair experiment and end up discovering a world of kinky sex play that they’ve never even considered!
