Alex wasn’t going to get anywhere arguing about the marriage thing. She tried a different tactic. “What website?”

Kris walked over to a large desk. Alex followed him. Kris pulled up the website in question and gestured to it. “It seemed the perfect place to find my bride after searching this past year to no avail.”

Alex rolled her eyes at the title of the site -- Finding Your Perfect Mrs. Claus. It was her boss’s idea of getting into the holiday spirit. She said, “Show me what you clicked on to get to me.”

The page had two buttons -- one said Naughty and the other said Nice. Naughty referred to strippers who did full nudity, while Nice referred to strippers who went down to a string bikini.

Kris clicked the Nice button, which led to a page of pictures. Alex’s picture was the last on the page. Kris said, “I looked through all of the girls and found you the most desirable as my wife.” He clicked on her picture and loaded a page featuring stats about Alex -- age, height, weight, likes, etc -- and a vid of Alex wearing a Mrs. Claus ball gown while handing out presents to a room full of happy men.

Gesturing to the vid, Kris said, “You are a bringer of joy. Looking at this video confirmed you would be my perfect wife. I paid the dowry and here you are.”

Alex snorted. “Dowry, huh?” He had to mean the private party fee to have her strip on location.

“It was a small sum, but I paid it gladly.”

“Did you click on the button that says more?” She pointed to the bottom right of the screen.

Kris clicked the button. Another page loaded, showing the second half of the vid that had started on the previous page. It showed Alex ripping open her Mrs. Claus breakaway dress to the hooting and hollering of the men who had just gotten her presents. She danced on and around a pole while men stuffed money down her bra and panties.

Alex watched as Kris turned pale and his ears drooped until they were almost folded in half. His look of horror returned.

“What… what are you doing? This is naughty. This is extremely naughty. No wife of the House of Kringle should do such things as this.”

“Next time click the more button,” Alex said with a shrug. “Look, Kris. It’s no big if you don’t want me here. I’ll talk to my boss and get your money back. We can chalk this up to a fun mistake and go about our lives. Just tell Noël to bring the car around and take me home.”

 “Women -- fey women -- have always ignored me and flocked to my brother.”

 “That makes them blind or stupid or both. Kris is gorgeous and so are you. You’re identical. And did you ever stop to think they were flocking to him because he was the heir of the house? He’s the head of the House of Kringle, the top house in the winter clan. Women would have been flocking to him if he looked like a troll because of the power he now holds.”

 Spir stared at her with wide, confused eyes.

 “I think the only one hung up on you being his shadow is you, Spir. You let the opinions of a bunch of gold diggers and opportunists determine your self worth. You’re the spirit of Christmas. It can’t exist without you. Even those who don’t believe in Santa do acknowledge you. Have you even visited humans around Christmas time?”

 He shook his head.

 “Did your uncle?”

 “I never saw him leave the North Pole.”

 “Well there you go. You’re basing your opinion on false information that further perpetuates your feelings of inadequacy. I was always taught that presents and a jolly fat man in a red suit don’t make Christmas. It’s the feeling inside. The giving -- not to be redundant -- spirit. The love of family and brotherhood and togetherness. Everything else is icing on the cake.” She took his hand and squeezed it. “You’re the cake, Spir.”

 His gaze went down to her hand and then back to her eyes. His earlier confusion had changed to surprise.

 She released him and stepped back, clearing her throat. She’d gotten too wrapped up in her preaching. “Sorry. I didn’t mean to start lecturing you. It’s one of my bad habits.”

 “It’s fine.” He raised the hand she’d held and looked at it as though he’d never seen it before. “It’s completely fine.” He lowered his hand and turned his attention back to her. A ghost of a smile tugged at his lips. “Your enthusiasm has rubbed off on me.”

“Vieve. But that’s because she beat you to it. She probably thought you would request it eventually and decided to get it done before you asked.”

“I enjoyed having you sit on my lap,” he grumbled. The topic strayed to dangerous territory and they had yet to reach the privacy of his bedroom. “It matters not. I have validated my point. You are being spoiled. In my experience, spoiled women cause trouble.”

“I’m not a woman. I’m a pet. Pets are meant to be spoiled. So there.” She stuck her tongue out at him.

Behind him, a few of his guards chuckled under their breath. Bekion joined their amusement and shook his head. “I am supposed to spoil you, not my secretary.”

“If it makes you feel better, Vieve always says the presents are from you.”

“She should inform me of the presents before giving them to you.”

“Now who’s whining?” Starling lifted an eyebrow at him when he met her gaze.

He stopped, put Starling on her feet and then walked away.

Starling called after him, “Petty.”

He didn’t acknowledge her. He did smile though. Laughter escaped him when she caught up with the group at his chambers. She had Nausic carrying her. He said, “Spoiled.”

“I’ll admit to mine when you admit to yours.”

Bekion said to Nausic, “Take her to the inner chambers. I need to work without interruption.”

Nausic nodded and walked away.

Starling called back, “It’s my naptime anyway.”

The inspiration for this particular story comes from my love of hentai, which is Japanese animated porn. One of the major genres, and most popular amongst women, is tentacle monsters. It's a paranormal that hits the bondage crowd as well as the menage crowd. As I like to say, it's all the fun of a gang bang without the gang.

Of course, a tentacle monster as a hero has to be Japanese. My inspiration for Kosuke was Gackt (picture above), a very popular Japanese actor/singer idol. His look in the movie "Bunraku" (nice little action flick that is worth watching) was exactly what I envisioned for my hero. And such a good looking model made this story an easy one to write.

The inspiration for this story came from pet envy. My two cats laze around the house all day, leading the good life. I, being the type of person I am, wondered how a human would react when suddenly tossed into the same lifestyle by aliens.

My inspiration for the Starling and Bekion came from Kerry Washington and Patrick Wilson as they appeared in "Lakeview Terrace." While I never saw the movie, I loved the way those two looked with each other, and it just fit with my story.

Inspiration: Stripping Christmas by Zenobia Renquist

My inspiration for Stripping Christmas is very simple -- Margaret Riley. Yup, the owner of Changeling Press put it in my head. In September, she sent out a call for Christmas titles to fit the theme of White Hot Christmas. In this call she stressed having a story that involved more than a hooker in a naughty Mrs. Claus outfit.

At the time, I was stuck in NYC waiting for a train home to Baltimore, MD. I had nothing else better to do but let the idea of hookers in Mrs. Claus outfits run through my head. Of course, I couldn't have a story with that so my mind made the leap to strippers in naughty Mrs. Claus outfits. And then what if that stripper married Santa by mistake.

From there the story was born. I had the whole thing plotted out by the time I got home. I had over half of it written the very next day before I even got approval for the proposal. It was submitted the following week.

And of course when I think of naughty girls and Santa, I always hear Santa Baby playing in the background. So here's one my favorite versions of this song:

Starting With Naughty

It may be 7:40PM in Hawaii, but it's 12:40AM on the East Coast, thus it is Thursday. It's time to get this party started.

Welcome all and thanks for coming out the Changeling Press White Hot Christmas Release Party. I am Zenobia Renquist, one of the contributing authors to this very naughty list of Christmas-themed titles. I hope you look forward to the posts and excerpts we Changeling authors have planned for you today.

But first... It's time for something naughty.

Recipe: Bacon-Wrapped Lil Smokies

Prep Time: 45 Min
Cook Time: 45 Min
Ready In: 1 Hr 30 Min
Servings: 16

Ingredients

• 1 pound sliced bacon, cut into thirds
• 1 (14 ounce) package beef cocktail wieners
• 3/4 cup brown sugar, or to taste
• Toothpicks

Directions

- Refrigerate 2/3 of the bacon until needed. It is easier to wrap the wieners with cold bacon.

- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

- Wrap each cocktail wiener with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

- Place on a large baking sheet.

- Sprinkle brown sugar generously over all.

- Bake for 40 minutes in the preheated oven, until the sugar is bubbly.

- To serve, place the wieners in a slow cooker and keep on the low setting.

If that recipe isn't naughty, I don't know what is.
