My sweetie, whom I call Sweetsie simply because I thought it would annoy him, calls me Honey Bunny and has as long as I can remember. Sometimes he calls me Kelli Belly when he really wants to annoy me. Now I call the dogs Sweetsie and even random people. I've become that person. The woman who thinks she can get away with calling everyone Dear and Honey because I can't remember their names.
I'm always wanting to discover new pet names for my characters. I've used babe, baby, honey, sweetheart, darling (darlin'), just to name a few.
How about you? What does your Valentine call you? What do you call that special someone? Does the term of endearment make you cringe or make you melt?

Romance-a-rama
My research assistant, Guillermo surprised me for V-Day with tickets to see Rock of Ages in the big city with dinner after. I'm very excited to see a Broadwayesque production. I usually treat myself to the CD so I can relive the experience over and over again in the privacy of my automobile. Picture me rockin out and singing at the top of my lungs.
I'm thrilled to get away from small town life for a few hours and see how the other half lives. I'd be just as happy to snuggle at home watching a romantic movie and sipping hot chocolate.
What are your plans?

What's Hot & What's Not?
A friend asked me to babysit her blog while she’s on vacation, and I agreed. Right? What’s not to love? It’s like house sitting for your rich relatives. Swimming in their pool, eating your way through their pantry and watching Pay-Per-View. I’m going to do the Risky Business dance in nothing but my underwear all over her blog.
I told her I’d do a blog on What’s Hot and What’s Not. So I’m asking you, what’s hot and what’s not? Why ask you? Because I hate research.
I know what I think is hot and what’s not. Hot is kissing. Hot is lacing or twining of fingers. Hot is a hero worshipping the heroine, putting her on a pedestal and if it’s an erotic I guess he can tie her up.
I was on a chapter mate’s blog the other day, and for her the deal breaker was flaring nostrils in love scenes. Not hot, she reported. I’m not a fan of flaring nostrils. I’ve never written about them. I’ve never seen these flaring nostrils in my limited lovin’ experience, but it’s not a deal breaker for me.
I read a book where the heroine licked the hero’s zipper. And I apologize for the graphic image, but it was not an erotic. First of all zipper-licking sounds unsanitary and potentially dangerous. It should come with a disclaimer to not try this at home.
What’s hot to you? What’s not?
Stormy Wedding
YOU MAY KISS THE BRIDE
My erotic romance novella, Stormy Wedding, follows a couple on their wedding day. They share a sweet kiss on the veranda of their wedding venue with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop. But all these two have been doing since they met is kiss. A lot. Nothing more.
They’ve saved the best for last, although their pre-wedding encounters become a bit heated. Here’s a little snippet of a sweet kiss versus a steamy one:
Sweet kiss.
The Stone Cliff Lodge was just as advertised—a stone lodge perched on a cliff above the ocean. Romantic. Elegant. Picturesque. Waves crashed against the rocky shore with thunderous power. The photos on their website didn’t do the place justice. With both their families there, it resembled a cross between a failed Weight Watchers meeting and an episode of Family Feud. Name for me a wedding disaster. Top five answers are on the board.
Wind hit Rachel’s face in the most refreshing way. Freedom. She closed her eyes, opening them when cool lips butted up to hers. “Uhm.” She saw stars, but also clouds and a thumbnail moon.
Steamy kiss.
She clasped her hand on the back of his neck and crushed her lips against his. Not what he expected. Sweeping her up with his free hand, he returned her scorching kiss in a flurry of lips, tongues and teeth. It was the type of kiss they normally avoided in order to stay true to her “ not until my wedding night” pledge.
Rory spun her around, pinning her exposed back against the wall.
She gasped.
“Sorry, babe.” He hadn’t stopped to think about how the cold metal would feel against her skin.
Which do you prefer? Sweet and tender? Steamy, hot and sticky? To read an excerpt of Stormy Wedding, learn more about me or enter my contest visit my blog. www.kelliscottbooks.blogspot.com
