However, anthropologically speaking, it seems more "normal" for an older male and a younger girl to have a relationship, rather than an older woman and a young boy. These days though I think it's the age difference that makes the relationship creepy.
catherinelee100 at gmail dot comCatherine Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14998035693869891918noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4588480316099583326.post-86931385511476223482012-09-09T08:32:30.521-04:002012-09-09T08:32:30.521-04:00I remember both of these stories vividly! I don...I remember both of these stories vividly! I don't agree with the way Mary Kay went about it...she threw her life and family away. The young man felt he was in love with her but...well, I don't think he knew what he really wanted. As for the Powers/Hooker instance....I'm agreeing that that one is a bit less controversial for waiting til she was of age to come forward with their relationship. As for the gender, in today's society, it should not really matter as people are people and are going to love who they are going to love no matter what.

molly at reviewsbymolly dot com
Mollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01845791912535401168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4588480316099583326.post-6127695066061739882012-09-09T08:09:07.322-04:002012-09-09T08:09:07.322-04:00I find this very interesting. I do think age does...I find this very interesting. I do think age does matter and that gender should not. I had never really thought about it in terms of news coverage but lately I find that news reporting is quite biased and selective. This seems to be the case with this as well.
debby236 at gmail dot comDebbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08516477616699255278noreply@blogger.com
